Listing of DME Medicare Administrative Contractors
Durable Medicare Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractors (DME MACs) are organizations that have entered into a contract with Medicare to determine at the first level of appeal whether a claim for Medicare benefits under Part B should be paid. Any party to the redetermination that is dissatisfied with the redetermination decision may appeal that decision by submitting a request for reconsideration (second level appeal) to MAXIMUS Federal, the DME Qualified Independent Contractor.
